1. Services

Carrier agrees to transport the Client's pet(s) from the pickup address to the drop-off address on the agreed date, using a Carrier-owned or Carrier-operated vehicle, or via commercial air cargo where applicable. All ground transport is door-to-door and dedicated: only the Client's pet(s) will be in the vehicle during the trip.

2. Fees and Payment

  • Total fee: as quoted (Schedule A)
  • Deposit: $200 CAD, non-refundable, due at booking. Secures the Client's trip date and reserves the vehicle.
  • Balance: due in full on pickup, by e-transfer, cash, or card.
  • Customs broker fees (Running Red at $150 CAD + HST, OmegaCHB at $250 USD, or the Client's chosen broker) are billed separately by the broker and are not included in the transport fee unless stated.

3. Cancellation

  • By Client: the $200 deposit is non-refundable. If cancellation occurs within 48 hours of pickup, the full quoted fee remains due to cover committed costs.
  • By Carrier: if Carrier cancels for any reason other than force majeure, the Client receives a full refund of all amounts paid.

4. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to provide, at their expense, before pickup:

  • A current rabies vaccination certificate.
  • A health certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian within the timeframe required by the destination jurisdiction.
  • Microchip documentation where required.
  • Any import or export permits required by CFIA, USDA APHIS, CBP, CBSA, CDC, or other authorities.
  • Accurate pickup and drop-off addresses, contact numbers, and any special handling instructions (medications, allergies, temperament, feeding schedule).
  • A properly fitted collar with ID, a leash, and sufficient food for the trip.

The Client confirms that the pet is in good health, has no contagious disease, and is fit to travel. The Client is responsible for all veterinary, boarding, or government fees incurred because of missing, incorrect, or expired documentation.

5. Carrier Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, climate-controlled transport.
  • Offer regular breaks for water, walking, and relief.
  • Communicate updates with the Client during the trip.
  • Carry commercial carrier authorization required for this service.
  • Handle the pet with care and attention throughout the journey.

6. Liability

Carrier's liability is limited to the total transport fee paid under this Agreement. Carrier is not liable for:

  • Delays or losses caused by customs, border agencies, weather, mechanical failure beyond reasonable control, or any force majeure event.
  • Pre-existing medical conditions, injury, illness, or death not caused by Carrier's negligence.
  • Behavioural issues, escape from a secure crate or vehicle, or damage to the vehicle caused by the pet.

The Client acknowledges that pet transportation carries inherent risks and agrees that Carrier's acceptance of the pet does not constitute a guarantee against those risks.

7. Customs and Border Crossings

Where a cross-border trip is arranged, Carrier will coordinate with a licensed customs broker (Running Red, OmegaCHB, or a broker of the Client's choice). The Client is responsible for broker fees and for ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete. Carrier is not a customs broker and does not provide customs advice.

8. Photos and Marketing

Carrier may photograph or video the pet during transport for operational records and marketing purposes (social media, website). The Client grants Carrier the right to use such images unless the Client opts out in writing at booking.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of New Brunswick.

10. Entire Agreement

This Agreement is the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes prior conversations. Any change must be in writing, signed by both parties.
